What is being productive?

Being productive is simply not procrastinating and getting things done instead. For example you do not have time to go for a run. You work around whatever you are doing and you find time for a run.

A lot of the times, people struggle as they overthink things and instead of getting things done, they waste time and get nothing done.

It can be tricky to get things done when you got a lot on your mind. It is hard to start as you do not know where to begin. When I was a kid I had a quote on a poster in my bedroom’s wall saying, “The secret of getting ahead is, Getting Started.” I was too little to understand back then, but I remembered it always and now it makes sense. Consider you have few things to be done and you are stressing out and you do not know where to begin, that’s when that quote comes into play. The meaning behind the quote is to start it as soon as possible instead of thinking what to do and where to begin. If you have 10 things to be done, do not panic start with one task and keep moving forward, keep completing one task after the other. It is always important not to complicate things, instead of starting few things and leaving them unfinished. Start one task, complete it and move to the next task. Always keep things simple.

Being productive is as simple as getting things done smartly, which means you can get more done than usual. This can be achieved by planning. It happens a lot when you have no plan you might waste so much time trying to work out what needs to be done and you end up doing nothing. We all have unproductive days but with a little planning we can avoid that happening.

Follow your dreams. The only thing that is holding you back is, you. Take a leap of faith and you watch how things change. It can be hard to start something when you do not have much experience but that is what it is all about, Learning. It is a journey, one step at a time and you learn as you go and you get better every time you give it a crack. Whenever you get stuck you use the internet for help, there is heaps of content out there to guide you through.

Every-time I am cooking in the kitchen, I try to multi task around it as there is a bit of time standing idle keeping an eye on things. I can watch videos tutorials, talk to a friend, listen to a podcast or an audiobook.
