Living in Australia. What is it like?
Australia is a great country. It is a dream country for many people around the world and it is the country to be in. It’s amazing in every way, beautiful people, weather, food, heaps of things to do. It’s a great country to explore or to live in. If you are respectful to the Australian culture you will have no problem, Australians are very welcoming.
Looking at some of the factors that play an important part while choosing to live in a country
Work
Australia is a great country if you are looking for work opportunities. It is continuously developing and always have a place for a skilled professional. So if you have experience in your hands, you have great chances of getting work.
You need a degree to get work but your experience is more valuable than a piece of paper. If you know what you are doing and you can provide details of your previous experience from work and related references, you have great chances of getting work.
It’s not that easy to just walk in and get work wherever you want, if you’re lucky, they have a vacancy and you are applying at that time you can get in. You have to be at the right place at the right time or know people who can help you.
Weather
Weather is overall good compared to some other countries out there. It can get really hot in summer in some parts of the country like Perth, Adelaide, even up north Queensland and really cold in some parts like Melbourne and Tasmania. But overall amazing weather.
People
Super friendly always happy to have a chat and help you when ever you get stuck. Australians are very easy to get along.I have heard from some people that Australians are not friendly, i think it’s not the whole country if you come across one person that is not nice. Do not assume everyone to be the same. There are good and bad people everywhere in the world.
Australians love animals. Pretty much everyone has a pet animal here. People also support all the sanctuaries by becoming members yearly and go see the beautiful animals like Kangaroos, Koalas, Dingos and many more native animals that are found in this country.
Sports
Australia is a big name in any sport in the world. You will see Australian flag shine in every game, do not be surprised to see the name Australia in the Top 3. Australians love to play sports and watch sports at home or at the pub. There is always some sports being played in the country or outside.
Few games that are big in Australia are Cricket, AFL, Rugby, F1 Racing and all other sports that are played and Australia participates in it.
What’s Australian lifestyle like?
It is all about having a relaxed life. Taking it easy, having a good time. Australians like to work when it’s time to work and have fun when it’s not time to work. People in Australia live in the moment and love having fun and few beers. People work hard during the week and have fun on the weekends, go out for walks, markets, dinners, shows, friends and family get togethers etc.
Pretty much whatever the whole world does, but australians are very outgoing, we love the beach and doing lots of outdoor activities. It all happens because the weather is amazing all the time, in the mid 20 degrees throughout the year on the gold coast.
