iPad Air 2021 Honest Review after using it for 6 months
iPads are great. Comparing to using iPhone for surfing the internet and taking notes all the time, using an iPad is a much better experience. In half the time i can do pretty much everything i used to do before on the phone. The speed of workflow is outstanding.
Things i love the most
Battery life
iPad Air’s battery lasts for ages. I use it couple of hours every day after work, i don’t need to charge it all week. I am very happy with the battery life, compared to iphone that needs to be charged multiple times every day
Screen clarity
If you go to a store and look at older version of ipad and ipad air side by side, you will see a massive difference. This ipad has been a massive upgrade after a decade of iPads. The screen is Liquid Retina Display. It’s a multi touch display with IPS technology.
Multitasking
Split the screen in 2 parts, watch a video, take notes, it is super productive. I have tried multitasking on Macbook earlier, not even close. It is amazing what you can do on an ipad. Draw while watching a show. Make a shopping list, listen to podcasts.
Speed
iPad Air is super fast. Compared to a macbook or any computer that takes a while to start, iPad is ready to rock in a second. That’s what i love the most about it. When you have an idea and you want to write it down, you can’t wait around for a computer to load up, or look around for notepad and pen, it’s either notepad that you can not find or the pen.
You won’t be disappointed with the iPad it won’t let you down. In the past couple of months i have got so much done with the iPad which would have not been possible otherwise. I am continuously blogging and editing videos and surfing the internet for videos and other ideas for vlogs.
Price
Very well priced. If you compare an iPad to an iPhone or a macbook it’s much cheaper. A decent iPhone is $1500+ and a macbook is $3000+ whereas an ipad is $899 or the cheaper version of ipad $499 which is awesome too.
For what it is capable of, it’s pretty affordable. It’s sleek and super fast. A lot of small businesses have switched to the iPads for taking orders and also for doing their bills instead of using a computer. iPads don’t take as much room on the desk, making it a perfect sleek desktop device.
Connectivity
Usb C cable, it’s the new connection cable that is used universally. So, you can use it with pretty much any other devices that are available in the market like gopro or other cameras and technology devices.
Even if you have other devices that are not compatible with Usb C you can get different attachments for the type of device you want to connect and these connectors are super cheap.
I only paid around $2 for a connection to connect my iPad to the hard drive. My ipad was only 64 Gb and that’s not enough i found out when i installed few applications and transferred data around the iPad. It doesn’t take long for the memory to get full. So the easy solution is to get a little connection and use hard drive or any other usb drives that you have to extend the memory of your device.
Magic Keyboard and Pencil
Magic keyboard is a great feature to turn your ipad into a computer, it’s got trackpad and keyboard. You definitely not need a computer once you have this set up. The magic keyboard is not cheap around $450 but it all combined with the iPad is still cheaper than a computer. There’s are companies like logitech which have cheaper versions of this keyboard.
Magic pencil is great if you want to draw or lean drawing and similar things. It is touch sensitive, very advanced feature that takes drawing to another level
Look
The look of the ipads have not been changed over the past decade since they came out. But now they have changed the look, it’s got the sharp corners, screen looks amazing with a sleek border around it and fresh new colours blue and green, it looks stunning.
Look is not the most important thing for many people, but it definitely matters as you are going to look at the device that you don’t like every time you use it.
Another great thing apple did is they introduced 2 new colours with the new iPad Air which makes it stand out. The fresh green and blue colours of the iPad Air look stunning. It also comes in Space Grey, Silver and Rose Gold colours. So iPad Air is the only iPad that comes in 5 different colours.
Final Thoughts
If you are thinking of buying an iPad Air, you are going for a great option. The performance after using it couple of months is outstanding. iPad air has got A14 bionic chip same processor as iPad pro which is super fast amazing for multitasking. Do not bother spending double the money on ipad pro because this ipad air works like magic.
